What to Expect on Your Gorilla Trek

Your gorilla excursion begins early in the morning with a briefing at the park headquarters. You will be assigned to a gorilla family and accompanied by experienced trackers and park rangers. Trekking through the forest may involve steep slopes, muddy trails, dense vegetation, and changing weather conditions.

The duration of the trek depends on where your assigned gorilla family is located. When you finally reach the gorillas, the atmosphere changes completely. Best Time for a Gorilla Safari
