5-Day Gorilla & Wildlife Safari – Gorillas, Chimpanzees, & Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 1: Entebbe or Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Accommodation: Pumba Safari Lodge

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start the day with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the best time to look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, waterbucks, hyenas, and, with luck, leopards. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. The cruise offers close-up views of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous water birds. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha
Drive Time: Approximately 5 hours
After breakfast, enjoy chimpanzee tracking in the Queen Elizabeth National Park area. Walk with an experienced guide through the forest in search of habituated chimpanzees and observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. Later, drive south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through the Ishasha sector. Ishasha is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, often seen resting in large fig trees. Continue to your Bwindi lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before beginning your mountain gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The trek can take from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one magical hour observing the gorillas as they feed, play, and interact in the forest.
Return to the lodge for lunch and rest before an afternoon Batwa cultural experience. Learn about the traditions, forest skills, music, dance, and history of the Batwa people, who once lived within the Bwindi Forest. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. Accommodation: Agandi Lodge

Day 5: Bwindi to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy the changing landscapes, rural communities, and optional stopovers for lunch and souvenirs. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport in time for your international departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari.
