5 Day Uganda & Rwanda Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private safari guide and transferred to your luxury accommodation in Kigali. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax and recover from your international journey while enjoying Rwanda’s vibrant capital city.

Day 2: Kigali - Volcanoes National Park
Drive Time: Approximately 2-3 hours
After breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda’s premier mountain gorilla destination. Enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda before arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you will gain insight into gorilla conservation efforts and the legacy of renowned primatologist Dian Fossey.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking & Transfer to Uganda
Drive Time: Approximately 3 hours
This morning, enjoy an exciting golden monkey trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. These rare and playful primates are endemic to the Virunga Mountains and offer a unique wildlife encounter. After lunch, cross into Uganda through the Cyanika Border and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Trekking Time: Approximately 2–6 hours
Today is the highlight of your safari. Following an early morning briefing, venture into the ancient rainforest with experienced guides and trackers in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once found, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat, an experience regarded as one of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters. Return from the forest and afternoon village tours. Visit the pygmy (Batwa).

Day 5: Departure
Flying Time: Approximately 2 hours
After breakfast, transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for your scheduled domestic flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival, connect with your international departure flight, bringing to an end your unforgettable luxury gorilla trekking adventure through Rwanda and Uganda.
