Tour Plan
Your journey begins the moment you arrive in Livingstone, where a friendly representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel near Victoria Falls. Take the afternoon to settle in or relax by the pool before being transferred to the African Queen jetty for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi. As the boat glides through calm waters, watch elephants drinking at the river’s edge and hippos rising to the surface as the sky turns shades of amber and rose. Return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
After breakfast, you’ll set out on a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls. The pathways lead you through rainforest draped in mist, opening to viewpoints where the thundering falls send rainbows swirling in the air. Later in the afternoon, you’ll take to the sky on a microlight flight breathtaking aerial dance above the mighty Zambezi and the open gorge carved by the falls. Spend your evening relaxing at the hotel, letting the day’s beauty settle in.
Overnight: Avani Victoria Falls Resort
This morning, your guide will escort you to the jetty for your Livingstone Island lunch experience. The island sits at the very lip of the falls, where Dr. David Livingstone first stood in awe. Depending on water levels, you may dip into Devil’s Pool or Angel’s Pool, a once-in-a-lifetime moment on the very edge of the waterfall. Your experience concludes with a five-star gourmet meal served on the island itself. Return to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Overnight: Avani Victoria Falls Resort
Breakfast & Lunch included
After breakfast, you travel to the airport for your flight to South Luangwa National Park, one of Africa’s richest wildlife sanctuaries. Upon arrival, your journey continues to Mfuwe Lodge, where elephants, antelope, and birds wander freely through the lodge grounds. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, watching golden light fall across acacia woodlands and river plains. Dinner tonight is served beneath the stars.
Overnight: Mfuwe Lodge
Each day begins with the soft glow of dawn and the sound of the African bush waking to life. Set out on early morning game drives to look for lions returning from the night’s hunt, leopards resting in branches, and vast herds of elephants wandering toward the river. Return to the lodge for brunch and relaxation—perhaps by the pool, or simply watching the wildlife pass by from your verandah.
In the afternoons, venture out again on a bush walk with expert guides who reveal stories hidden in footprints, bird songs, and the landscape itself. Evening game drives introduce the nocturnal world—spotlit sightings of leopard, hyena, civet, and more. Each night ends with dinner shared under lantern light.
Overnight: Mfuwe Lodge
After breakfast, fly from South Luangwa to the Lower Zambezi National Park, where mountains, river channels, floodplains, and wildlife come together in breathtaking harmony. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed to your lodge and introduced to the guides and staff who will host your stay. Enjoy an afternoon activity of your choice: a river cruise, game drive, bushwalk, canoe trip, or fishing on the Zambezi. Dinner awaits under warm evening skies.
Overnight: Royal Zambezi Lodge
Your days in the Lower Zambezi move with a natural rhythm. Wake early for coffee before heading out on safari, whether by vehicle, foot, or canoe. The river is alive with life elephants crossing in slow, graceful processions, hippos gathered in great basking groups, birds calling across the reeds. Each outing is unhurried and deeply immersive.
Return to the lodge for late breakfasts and afternoons of rest, watching wildlife drift past the riverbank as you relax. Later, enjoy afternoon tea before setting out again for sunset and the magic of golden hour. Night drives offer chances to encounter the secret world that awakens after dark. Evenings close with dinner and the soft lull of the Zambezi flowing by.
Overnight: Royal Zambezi Lodge
Savor your final morning in the bush perhaps one last game drive or gentle moment on the deck before flying from Royal Airstrip to Lusaka for your onward journey. You leave with memories that echo long after, from the thundering mist of Victoria Falls to the quiet hush of the river at dusk.
